Forfeit Procedure

 

1. Schools may not mutually agree to forfeit any games

2. The league or conference must approve all forfeit requests between league or conference opponents.

3. The NJSIAA must approve all forfeit requests between non-league or non-conference opponents.

League or Conference Forfeits

1. Once a forfeit is approved, the league or conference must contact all affected schools to determine if they are accepting the forfeit or not.

2. After completion of step 1, the conference must complete the appropriate forfeit form below.    

3. If the forfeit is accepted by the school, that date cannot be used to schedule another game or used as a rainout date.

4. If the forfeit is not accepted by the school, then the school is permitted to look for another game on any date.

5. Once the form is submitted, the NJSIAA will contact Njschoolsports.com to reward all accepted forfeits.

Non-League or Non-Conference Forfeits

1. The school forfeiting games must complete the appropriate form below for all non-conference and non-league games.

2. If approved, the NJSIAA will reach out to all affected schools to determine if they are accepting the forfeit or not.

3. If the forfeit is accepted by the school, that date cannot be used to schedule another game or used as a rainout date.
