ROBBINSVILLE, NJ (Sept. 8, 2021) – NJSIAA and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 102 have entered into a sponsorship agreement that will support the association’s programs and the student-athletes it serves. Specifically, IBEW Local 102 will provide scholarship opportunities to students who pursue trade-focused careers after completing high school.
“At Local 102, we take great pride in embracing the communities we serve,” says Bernie Corrigan, president, IBEW Local 102. “Partnering with the NJSIAA has provided us a platform to touch our leaders of tomorrow. We look forward to supporting all those who make a difference on the field and in the classroom!”
The sponsorship will be particularly visible during NJSIAA championship events, when IBEW Local 102 will display various types of signage.
“Or student-athletes take a broad range of paths once their time in high school concludes,” notes Colleen Maguire, NJSIAA’s executive director. “We’re extremely appreciative of IBEW Local 102 for helping support our young women and men who wish to establish careers in the trades.”
