DAANJ Scholarship Fund
Each year, the DAANJ presents 10 scholarships totaling $5000 to deserving student-athletes throughout the state. These scholarships and their purpose are listed below. As Covid 19 has affected all of us in some shape or form – the DAANJ hopes to continue giving these scholarships each year. To help support this fund – we will be running a fundraiser at the upcoming State Convention in Atlantic City. This will be like a Super Bowl box pool. We will be selling $50 boxes that you can purchase during registration, socials, and door prize drawings. Once the grid is full – the event will be sold out. Half of the proceeds will go to the DAANJ while the other half will be drawn and distributed at the DAANJ Awards Banquet on Thursday, March 17th (need not be present to win). The prize breakdown will be as followed and drawn in the order listed:
4th Prize - $250
3rd Prize - $250
2nd Prize - $500
Grand Prize - $1500

Scholarships Given Annually by the DAANJ
AD of the Year – 2 scholarships given in the amount of $500 each to a male / female from the school of the Athletic Director of the Year
Sectional Award Merit Awards – 4 scholarships given in the amount of $500 each – one scholarship from each school of the Sectional Award Merit recipients.
Frank Baldachino Scholarship – 2 scholarships given in the amount of $500 each to a male / female that recognize the distinguished scholastic, leadership and sportsmanship attributes of high school student-athletes, and the importance of high school athletics in each student’s life.
Adolph Sonny Santorine Scholarship – up to at least 2 scholarships given in the amount of $500 to deserving student athletes of member children.
